The MQB48 Adapter simplifies IMMO data extraction and key programming for MQB48 systems. Instead of removing the cluster, users can directly read the CS code (component security data) from a working key. Once the data is extracted, it can be used with VVDI2, Key Tool Plus, or Key Tool MIDI to generate and program new keys.

How to Use the Xhorse VAG MQB48 Adapter:

1. Replace Chip Inside VVDI MLB Tool

1. Disassemble the VVDI MLB Tool by removing four screws
2. Remove two screws on the circuit board
3. Replace the original chip with the upgrade chip included in the MQB48 Adapter package
4. Reassemble the MLB Tool – the original chip does not need to be kept

2. Extract IMMO Data

1. Open the key and remove the capacitors as shown in the wiring diagram
2. Solder the connecting wires according to the provided wiring instructions
3. Connect the key PCB to the MQB48 Adapter and place it on the VVDI MLB Tool (chip side down)
4. Connect the tools to a computer and read the key data

Important Notes:

• Use two separate USB cables to power the MLB main unit and MQB48 collector
• Do not use charging adapters
• A PC is strongly recommended over a tablet for stability
• Good power supply: ~15 minutes data collection / 1 minute calculation
• Poor power supply: 30–60 minutes data collection / 1 minute calculation

3. Learn Key

1. Connect VVDI2 or Key Tool Plus to the vehicle
2. Navigate: Immo Programming → Audi → MQB Immo System → Instrument-NEC35XX (Continental/VDO)
3. Select Prepare Dealer Key
4. Load the saved IMMO data
5. Insert the original key into the coil and save sync data
6. Insert the new key into the coil
7. Select Key Learn → The new key is added successfully
